Our Expertise

Fulcrum was founded in 2023 by Daniel Heymann.

Daniel has over 20 years experience of the legal profession and posts his views on the future of law (along with the odd book review) on LinkedIn

Daniel’s previous role was as Managing Director at Elevate, an Alternate Legal Service Provider. Daniel helped law firms and legal departments navigate their way through large scale transformation projects. He helped set up Reed Smith's legal shared service centre which was shortlisted by Legal Week in its ‘Future of Legal Services Innovation’ category.

Prior to this he was a legal project manager at Allen & Overy. Thanks to Brexit he was largely engaged in bank licence applications. He also helped develop his first legaltech product. Daniel also had a stint advising Ministers and drafting legislation at the Government Legal Department.

Daniel trained as a finance lawyer at Clifford Chance. He vividly remembers the fear on his first day when his supervisor told him that everything he did had to be Rolls Royce quality. At the time he didn't have the knowledge or confidence to question this. Fulcrum is his better late than never attempt to refine and improve the delivery of law.
